With the demise of Bonza you must remember that Bonza employees no longer have a job, those who live in the country no longer have a fast direct air service, holiday towns no longer have the knock-on effect of tourists brought into the area and reduced competition in the airline market.

Definitely, even neighbouring airports have seen a significant jump in air fares.

Staff are not being paid Aprils wages, and I fell sorry for them but at least GEARS will kick in. Apart from that I have no sympathy, Bonza promised a reality that doesn’t exist, some of their routes Jetgo couldn’t get to work! Once again a heap of money has been poured down the drain, most of it from the customers who had faith! They didn’t compete, and fares are not effected apart from this weeks stranded desperate Bonza customers.

Heading up tomorrow (hopefully my flight from WGA to SYD) arrives close to schedule to make the SYD to MCY.

I feel for the Staff and also the suppliers. There is clearly a bigger not paying the bills for the aircraft, the fact airports are blocking aircraft from moving/leaving highlights that poor management is the cause of this failure.

Nothing changed here, I have been critical of the business plan from day dot (especially as it was originally based on 72 seat aircraft), as posted above I have empathy for those affected by decisions made by poor management and the blatant lies. Assets don’t get seized without default notices weeks in advance, so for the CEO to say this weeks events came as a surprise is clearly not the case. Hall Chadwick revealed Bonza had received default notices from AIP Capital as far back as April 16.

It’s been a train wreck pretty much from the start, with AOC delays and then early senior staff departures along with redeployment of aircraft. As for nobody winning from company failures, the insolvency sector is doing quite well

Tractor is gone, just concrete barriers at the front of each aircraft. Also Bruce/C-FLHI doesn’t have two pieces of paper taped to the front door, while the other two do.

Temporarily uploaded some iPhone photos (will delete later)

Nice pictures, at least the rain stopped for you.

Nobody told those looking after the a/c, that they can be pushed backwards to clear the concrete blocks.
