Default QF 18 coming through AKL tomorrow.

Evening all,

Noticed on the AKL airport website that QF 18 will be making a stop through Auckland tomorrow instead of doing the normal Buenos Aires - Sydney direct route.

Shows it coming in at 18:40 with a quick turn around heading for Sydney at 19:40.

Does anyone know what rego will be doing this route?

Also is this to be a more regular occurance? i remeber reading something about this happening a few times throughout July somewhere but canot find the source.

Cheers

According to this: http://data.flight24.com/flights/qf17/ QF18 should be VH-OEF

If OEF opperated QF17 today it will be back on the 15th. So whichever opperated it yesterday is the one via AKL tomorrow.

I thought it was similar to the Jo'burg flights. X aircraft leaves on X morning whilst Z aircraft leaves on Z morning with X aircraft arriving back into Sydney late on Z day which makes these aircraft pass each other at some point (hope that made sense)
