Default Talkeetna Alaska

Talkeetna is a quirky "Northern Exposure" type town of about 500 people about 2 hours drive north of Anchorage.
It is an interesting mix of locals and tourists, and is also the start point for anyone wishing to climb North America's highest peak, Mt. McKinley (20,320ft). because of this, flightseeing and glacier landings near base camp for mountaineers wishing to tackle Mt. McKinley is big business for the town.
