I'm going to Toronto at the end of the year on this flight. I know this flights stops at Vancouver first before going to Toronto.

Has anyone flown on this flight to Toronto before? I would think it is pretty easy to transit in Vancouver since the same plane goes to Toronto, even though I have to clear immigration and customs there. Would I have to check in again in Vancouver just like a domestic flight or is there a simpler process?

I think common practice these days would be for AC to give you two boarding passes and you would transfer at YVR. Baggage would be cleared through customs and then transferred to Toronto.

you have to collect your bags and clear customs & immigration at first port of entry in Canada. If my memory serves me correctly, you drop them before leaving the CIH hall and transit landside. when i did it, it was a seamless transfer apart from a small wait in immigration.

Thanks guys. AC has allocated a transit time of 1 hour 35 minutes so hopefully that is sufficient time.

I would think so, but YVR is not as busy as LAX.
