Default Navy 100th Flypast and displays etc

I thought there would be a thread on this. Anyone going to see the flypasts and displays on the harbour on Saturday? What would be the best (and free) vantage point? I'm thinking northside for the flypast and then go over to the south for the displays.

Apparently the US P-3 has gone back to Kadena and the Romeo - Seahawk will not fly due to the US shutdown.

We will be on the S.V. James Craig, sailing through the entire show. We then return to Pyrmont at 1530 whilst the choppers are playing with the boats. From there, we have the sun on the City with the Aircraft behind it.
A former 'manager' of mine blurted out in a text one day "Get a life, loser!".
Guess where he is now...

The schedule of flying events over the harbour has resulted in YSSY going into 07 ops only with 5kts of variable wind. The office is about to get noisy!

We positioned ourselves at Mrs Macquarie's Chair, near the point on the northern side, looking straight out to the Opera House. The projections on the Opera House sails told the RAN story, and complimented the fireworks beautifully. The air display was a little difficult, the Roulettes performed more to the east of our position, however the RAN helicopters tracked low and close to the shore severat times. Great to see the HARS Catalina and Caribou in very close formation, and the amazing Super Constellation is always sensational. The fireworks were simply amazing, particularly the final piece.
