Unusually low QF 744?
Just got a quick glimpse of what looked like a QF 744 heading in for 16R over West Pymble a little lower than normal. It was around 11.15 but i cant think of any QF 744 arrivals around this time.
Anyone have any info on what it was?? Regards, Jim |

Thanks Chris, i thought about QF8, however as you rightly said it was already on the ground. Upon checking, I found it arrived at 10am,so that wasn't it. I can only assume it was a repositioning flight....

There was an Air Pacific 747 on approach around that time doing a visual approach so that probably explains if he was a little bit lower than normal.

Looking at Webtrak Sydney (http://webtrak.bksv.com/syd), there was an Air Pacific 744 operating FJ911 which was on approach for 16R at around 1115. Could that have been it?

Checked Webtrack for 1110L to 1120L, and Air Pacific was the only B747 on approach. It turned left onto a 16R final overhead Pymble at 1115L.
