Default How to take Singapore Airlines from CBR?

I am currently holding a ticket from Sydney to Singapore by Singpore Airlines (SQ222) in December.
However, I have to attend a conference in Canberra and then head to Singapore right afterwards.
The Canberra thing was not planned so I didn't intend to do anything with it whilst make booking to my ticket. The booking class is M.

So I would like to know:

1. Does Singapore Airlines has codeshare/interline agreements with any Australian domestic carrier ex-CBR, for eg. Qantas/Tiger Airways?

2. TT does not have SYD - CBR service but does operates between MEL - CBR. If TT can interline with SQ, can I change my ticket from SYD - SIN to MEL - SIN?

3. I am expecting I will carry 28kg of checked luggage and a further 20 - 30kg of hand luggage. So which airlines/modes of transport from CBR will best connects with my service to SIN? (I don't think SQ will have issues for excessive luggage like 28kg nor check the hand luggage for commutors - as I did once last time with 6 bags and total checked bags over 30kg for free)

Thanks

You have 2 options CBR-SYD - Qantas or Virgin Blue. Qantas should interline your baggage (but not 100% sure), but Virgin will only do so if it's on the same ticket.

For what it's worth, I am travelling from CBR to Europe on SQ in about a week and booked a Virgin ticket CBR-SYD to connect (but given myself extra time as I will have to recheck my bags.

Remember that you can check in with both DJ and SQ online before you travel, which should save you time and heartache!

Well, that's not really hard to get there actually:

1 Laptop computer with all accessories (7kg)
1 Backpack (as your handbag) (10kg)
1 Hand Luggage (10kg)
1 Coles Shopping Bag for your soveniours etc (7kg)
1 Long Umbrella (1kg)

How much will there be in total?

WOH, just hope you get caught to realise what you are planning is not fair on the passengers that follow the spirit of the rules

That's some umbrella Arthur....

Just be careful, if it has a pointy end, you're going to need to check that one in.

If it's made of plastic, you should be okay.

I brought a Red Bull Racing umbrella all the way back from Germany (that is, FRA-ATH-DOH-SIN-PER) on 3 different carriers. It's a large size.

A few questioned the pointy end, but I simply pointed out that it was plastic (a tip from a helpful check in agent) and for the most part, not a second thought was given.
