Any missed approaches today?
Not sure why, but some aircraft 'departing' 34L seem to be running 'high' this afternoon. There was a SQ A380 around 1530 passed over my head at about 500' higher than usual.
While this could be related to the current weather (strong and gusty winds) pushing up airspeed and lowering groundspeed, hence a higher climb profile, it just feels like a couple are too high even for that. Anyone? |

The Singapore A380 would have been the SQ222 departure and with strong headwinds would have been climbing out a bit quicker than normal.

Thanks Andrew. Wind has died off a bit now but it comes and goes. Might make for an interesting couple of hours if it picks up again.
My workplace is in Buckley St, Marrickville - but it's virtually Sydenham. I have a great elevated view to the SE and makes for some great viewing. |
