Qantas 737 lands safely after reporting wing issue

A Qantas Boeing 737 landed safely at Christchurch Airport this morning [08.05.08] after reporting problems with its wing flaps.

A police southern communications spokesman said the plane landed just after 10.30am after crew managed to resolve the problem.

It was unknown how many passengers were aboard, but it was understood to be an internal flight.
