Default Fast Jet Southbound Coastal

At 0750 this morning a fast jet screamed past my house in Mona Vale at 500 feet. I only caught a one second glimpse but it looked like a Hornet to me. A bit tricky with the low cloud along the coast.

Grahame, the Hawk woke me up at 0800 as it arrived.

The cloud is lifting here, so it should be a good flying day.

From Bondi Beach this afternoon around 3pm I saw what look liked an F/A-18 tracking up the harbour at approx. 500ft.

10 mins or so later a formation of four blackhawks then left the harbour and headed southbound coastal.

Any idea what this was for? Looked pretty impressive!

Neg.

No blackhawks or Hornets were seen or heard (by me) down at Wings over Illawarra...

I was hoping for a Hornet demo but my guess is the locals wouldnt like that...
