Not a corprate movement but it looks like the EK A380 will be doing a flyover to the Melbourne Cup today. It seems to be departing at 12:20pm and returning at 3.45pm as EK5388. No idea what happened to the EK412 flight.

Tim, EK5388 A6-EDA is currently southwest of Canberra heading for TANTA at FL400 heading 234 at 435kts.

1256 Overhead TANTA

VH-OQF QF6018 is heading back from Melbourne to Sydney (re-position) and should pass EK5388 south of Albury. QF6018 is climbing through FL340 heading 054 at 492kts.

1308 Tracking to TAREX
1332 Heading back east to Yarra Junction and now just south of Lilydale at FL148 heading 265 at 208kts
1338 Orbiting east of Ringwood and south of Lilydale (orbit 5x10nm at 9785ft) Its going to be very boring if they are orbiting until race time.

Had to go to a meeting but it looks like it did a pass over Flemington and is now going to hold again out to the east of Melbourne.

1426 Tracking east over Glen Waverley and east of Silvan Dam at 5000ft and 215kts
1434 Heading in from the east for another pass via Kew, Clifton Hill, Parkville and Kensington.
1440 Looks like the show is over and EK5388 is heading back to Sydney climbing through FL110 heading 033 at 403kts.
1518 On descent through TARAL at FL178 heading 062 at 410kts

No doubt an expensive exercise for Emirates.

Apparently, there is an error in PlanePlotter and the correct rego of the Melbourne Cup overfly was A6-EDD. Damian
