Default Passenger & Cargo Pilots?

Hey everyone,

I'm curious to know if at airlines such as Cathay Pacific and KLM (airlines that have both Passenger and Cargo operations) obtain pilots who fly both operations. Since Cathay have a few 747-400, do their (747) pilots fly both passenger, or can they get a cargo op once in a while on their roster?
(I know soon it won't matter because of the short time the Cathay 747's have at Hong Kong Intl )

Thanks,

Sam.

I think you will find a captain on a 747 freighter is on less money than a passenger 747 captain that would part of the reason they don't fly both.
