Default 5th and 6th A380s for Qantas Delayed

The fith and six A380s for Qantas have been delayed from October to November. This makes Qantas have the longest stay for outfitting in Hamburg then any other airline.

Any idea of the reason for the delay?

At the moment the delay is for problems with the systems on board.

Thanks that makes more sense than the two cynical replies above. Both are notorius for canning the A380 and/or Qantas at every oportunity.

I had heard that QF were delaying the craft due to 'finicky' little problems but it was mentioned cynically that this suited QF due to financial reasons. The opportunity was there for some (thanks Oliver) to offer a factual reason.

BTW, I'll take QF anyday (I'm a Silver FF) and everyday over JQ and it annoys the crap out of me when I have to use QF FF points to fly to the likes of the Gold Coast with JQ. If I have to fly there (or similar ports where QF have abandoned for JQ) with the company paying, I'll go DJ.

Default 5th Qantas A380 delivery

Just seen a photo over on airliners.net of the 5th A380 for Qantas taken on December 9th. The caption reads "for delivery in the next few days."

Anyone have any info on this or is it too late and she's already arrived?
