Your #1 Aussie Airport
Hi all!!
Just a quick question for everyone: What is your favorite airport in Australia? Personally, mine is Adelaide. Great for seeing planes as there are huge glass windows at the gates, very open and naturally lit, easy to navigate and only a brief taxi to the runway [assuming runway 23 is the active, not 5 which requires a little more time to get to...] I would be interested to hear your thoughts. Cheers!

Haha, not that its your 'local' or anything right lol
For me, I've only been to BNE, SYD, CBR, MEL, and HOB so... I think I would have to say BNE... |

Not at all Bernie. Not at all.
My next choice was Brizzy actually. Melbourne, Sydney and Cooly failed to impress me.

NTL Perfect public viewing area at the end of runway 30 (plus the balcony at Fighter World), and being a RAAF base also you get some interesting visitors. As the terminal's pretty small and there's not an aircraft movement every ten seconds, it's a breeze to transit through too.

Melbourne and Brisbane.
I am quite impressed by Adelaide's new terminal too. |

OOL for sure. New renovations have made the terminal so easy to navigate through and the view you have of the apron is fantastic.
Of course its my local, but I've only gone through BNE, SYD, and NTL...and BNE was way back. OOL is great for the amount of traffic it handles |

No other airport in the country pays my mortgage quite like Sydney, nor do they offer me such unrestricted access.

YSSY for mine but LRE is a close second - only airport with a 747 and 707, and there is a tranquility about it because it is so quiet

Adelaide would be my favourite for ease of getting around in the terminal and quick departures in general.
