Default Question re: SAAB 340B de-ice

Could someone give me a brief rundown of what the procedures are for use of the de-ice switches in the 340B?

Just looking to find out when they are switched on and off.

Thanks in advance.

Engine anti-ice must be on when in icing conditions and for up to 5mins after exiting icing conditions.
Prop de-ice must be activated in icing conditions and when any ice build up is observed on any part of the a/c (>-5șc OFF, -5șc to -12șc NORM, <-12șc MAX)
Boot de-icing must be operated in CONT mode when in icing conditions or any amount of ice is observed.

That what you are after?

Thumbs up

What Chris said. Also to add to that, the Boots must conduct 3 full cycles (or 15mins) before being turned off, or you descend into warmer air where after you are certain there is no more ice present on the aircraft, the 15min requirement is waived.
