A330 to SYD
I just wonder if there are any penalties ie reduced payload incurred for the SQ A330 to be able to make it to SYD.

The A330-300 has a range of more than 10,000km and the distance between SYD and SIN is only 6,288km. CX has been using the A330-300s between SYD and HKG for almost 10 years and the distance between SYD-HKG is long than SYD-SIN. I doubt there is any payload restriction for CX.

MU & QF also use A330-300 on PVG-SYD, which is longer than HKG route.

Evening all,
The B777-200's look to be back operating SQ241/242 from Dcember. The A330's will operate once a week for 3 weeks. Then will become daily B772's from XMAS. Quote:

Afternoon all,
I thought it would be the best place to put this as it does relate to Singapore operations into Sydney. Quote:
