Got down as low as 375 ft according to PlaneFinder at the time... This time they did the fly-by in a gear-down config... And a lot more time spent doubling-back over the track than the A380 last year.

I was watching the TV coverage of this, they didn't even show it!
They showed about 2 seconds of it on approach, another shot where you could hear but not see the aircraft, and about 2 seconds of it leaving.
Not happy!

I saw 10's "coverage" - fair dinkum, poor camera angles except for the overhead shot, but then having some guy interviewing people all through it and only showing a few seconds. It can't be that difficult to show it for 60 seconds?

I was lucky enough to be under it and it was the most impressive commercial-jet flyby i've seen - at least 3 loops in various configurations.

3 loops? Now that's impressive.

375ft and the pilot will have some explaining to do!
Nah some very nice fly bys in perfect Melbourne sunshine.
Was concerned that my view point from pit straight wouldn't produce the goods, but Captn Kangaroo certainly did the right thing by us with some impressive banking.

375ft it would have flown into the highrises that are around that area, maybe 1375ft.
