Default DXB Direct to BNE in October

Great news for Brisbane as Emirates commences Direct Flights with A340 equipment from Dubai starting October. This is no doubt going to bring competitive fares from the big carriers out of Brisbane to Europe and the Middle East. Is going to be rather odd hours though, flying out at 2am and comming inbound at 11:30pm.

one thing I've learned about Emirates and their Middle East fares is that they are far from competitive...I'd go so far to say that they are the MOST expensive around.

Having just paid for Syd- Cairo via Dubai tickets with Emirates I have to agree. Cost was a lot more than I thought it may have been

Not necessarily, EK squeeze them in tight in cattle class...(and J class too for that matter!)

As far as taking EK to UAE, in most instances its cheaper to book through to the UK and "accidently" miss your connecting flight.

That'd be fine provided you didn't have any checked luggage....

Not to mention your return flight home would automatically be canceled too.

Then go to London (or substitute for easier destination) for a couple of hours
