The Domino Effect

Moruya based BK117 B-2 LIFE23 is currently at the Cape Banks Lifesaver Helicopter Base for maintenance, so our Sydney based BK117 B-2 LIFE21 headed down to Moruya to cover for it.

Meanwhile, the bonus for Sydney-siders is that we get Cairns based Bell 412EP VH-ZVP to cover for our Rescue Chopper LIFE21.

VH-XZP is a beast of a machine in immaculate condition, and only when you get up close do you reaslise just how big it is.

XZP was an ex Japanese Government aircraft that was imported into Australia, transported by truck from Sydney's Port Botany Terminal to Bankstown Airport, where Hawker Pacific completed a refit. XZP was flown to Cairns after the refit was completed on the 17th September 2016.

Thank you to Nautilus Aviation for the close up inspection today - Nautilus Aviation Facebook Page https://www.facebook.com/nautilusavi...65573476824818

Great to see the PC-21s Robert, and the Dornier 228 as well. I have not seen a Cessna 208B Supervan 900, so will need to look up the Specs to see the difference, I'm guessing a more powerful engine and a slight stretch maybe. Love the shots of the Nanchangs on the wet aprons.

3 Day Visit

Boeing 737-7BC (W) BBJ N666ML made a three day visit to Sydney Airport, departing Runway 16R around 1300L today, and tracking southwest towards Melbourne. The aircraft was parked on the KILO Apron during its stay, and towed over to DOM 6 Bay 98 at 0926L this morning in preparation for its departure.

The four bladed prop is the main difference visually, along with the upgraded engine from a Pratt to a Honeywell
