Default EK412/413 tomorrow 10/5

Hey all...

I am booked on EK 413 tomorrow to Dubai and then an onward to Manchester... Getting out of Australia after loosing my wife pregnant with twins 3 weeks ago.

But, I see that it is running LATE and not due into Sydney until 5.55pm which will not leave time for it to hop over to the extreme Eastern States of Australia

So, a couple of questions...
  • Any chance of anyone knowing why the delay?
  • Rego of EK412 inbound to Sydney?
  • What will happen to EK412 to AKL? Who/what will operate this sector?

Any info would be great, especially if it happens to be A6-EDD as this is the aircraft that I left my Glasses on in Feb, and want to check out the seat pocket to see if they are still there...

Bernie,

Not sure if related, but maybe either good or bad for you. I remember a case when the A380 was only 3 a week. One of them actually went tech in Dubai and repalced it with a 777-300ER. But the aircraft was only a few hours late into Sydney. But at that time EK only had 4 A380's, now they have the 5th, you could still get an A380.

Hey Stefan,

Thanks for this, I had been on the A380 in Feb when I went to DOH for an interview... If it is the 773ER, groan, then I suppose it will have the tech stop in Bangkok? If so, I will be on a 773 to DXB then to MAN and returning from LHR to DXB, BKK to SYD!!!

Oh well...

I'll let you know the inbound rego if it appears in the next few hours.

It won't be EDD as she departed out of here a couple of hours ago to Dubai.

Regards.

Ahhh... That would make sense... But, do they forward the info THAT early through to the arrival port?

Anyways, bag packed, just have to wait now... Catch you all when I get back!

Hi Bernie,

Yes, we get access to the plan as soon as it is put into the system.

In the above case can be 16-17 hours in advance for a 13 hour flight.

Regards.
