Default QF announce SYD-PEK

Qantas confirmed to return to the SYD-PEK route with a daily A330-200 service commencing on 25 Jan 2017.

No doubt this will reduce domestic's A330 operations slightly as the PEK schedule requires 2 aircraft.

Interesting that they're using QF107/108 on the route. Recycling the flight number already.

Great news for an expanding QANTAS international. Just in time for Chinese New Year.

QANTAS is not using the previous QF191/192 flight numbers to Beijing but reusing the old SYD - LAX - JFK flight numbers before they became QF17/18 and were cancelled in April, this year.

Now, all we need to know is where the QANTAS 787-9s will fly to? A new route or to replace existing aircraft on an existing route???

Patience James lol... 13 days and all will be revealed on the 787 front. Well, not all, but enough to get us started! They've apparently said the first permanent 787 route will be an existing one before other routes are added as more units come on.

Another reason behind the start of Qantas flights to Beijing in January may be the commencement of services on this route in mid 2017 by Virgin following the Hainan group becoming a shareholder. Upset the party, so to speak.
