Does anyone know when it entered service?

I had it on July 3 operating DJ 714

I believe VH-ZPD entered service on 6th May 2008.

it said in aus aviation that it was delivered in late may so how could it enter service in early may.

According to Oz-spotters ACARS listings it was delivered on 2 June.

However, I don't know when it actually entered service.

It would depend on your definitions. Some sites have entered service date and some have delivery date.

on another forum I found a post saying

"VH-ZPD will enter service this week", the date of that post was June 29.

Surely they must be two totally different things and shouldn't be confused.

Take the recent influx of QF B737s for instance. They arrive in country on a certain day (delivery date) then usually spend up to a week for additional checks or whatever before entering service by flying their first revenue service (entered service date).

You're confusing ZPD (190) and ZHD (170) - ZHD was the late June.

ZPE (190) is now also in BNE.
