Default Ex Qantas 767-200ER for sale

http://www.controller.com/listings/a...110C074A966330

Anybody know what the old rego was for this one?

I assume this was sold due to the arrival of the A330's?

I also noticed this aircaft was configured 60 business seats and 90 economy, isn't that alot of business seats for a Qantas setup?

B767-238, VH-EAO c/n 23403 l/n 0137, entered service with QANTAS in March 1986.

It was withdrawn in July 2004 and flown to Mojave, California for storage.

Woops, trigger finger !

I last noted it in storage but it appears to have been subsequently purchased and the new operator probably changed the seating configuration as the 60 Business, 90 Economy was certainly not QANTAS when I flew on it !

Could this be the 767 purchased by the founders of Google as I vaguely remember reading that they did purchase an ex Qantas 767 which would be reconfigued as an Executive jet ?

the ex Maxjet is in storage at Victorville and its not the same a/c, saw it in January but it was impossible getting a shot of her. This bird that is for sale was meant to operate for Gadair European but I am pretty certain it never ended up with them. N774WD is its current rego and as mentioned it was VH-EAO with QF.

ex Maxjet is N250MY aka VH-EAL cn-23306

Apparently the former "City of Cairns" (EAO) was sold by QF to a US company called West Dover LLC (A Lessor I think) however its been in storage the whole time and hasn't seen airliner service since Qantas. This Photo Remark dated 03/10/2006 suggests the aircraft was almost leased/sold to Gadair European but obviously didn't eventuate.
