Default Jetstar Dream Terminal

As part of the B787 introduction, Jetstar is hosting a "Dream Terminal" in Cairns, Gold Coast, Melbourne and Sydney.

The terminal provides visitors with an authentic Dreamliner experience and includes seat displays, interactive window and giveaways.

On 23 Sept (factory time) VKA performed a B-3 and a C-1 flight.

B-3 is the 3rd Boeing test flight, C-1 is the first time with a JQ crew handling the aircraft!

If the delivery date is early October, I just wondering has there been any schedules about the training and domestic flights yet?

Thanks.

Nothing on the Jetstar site last time I looked.

They are keeping things very quite.

No seat maps as yet.

Expect the big reveal on arrival.

At present there are no domestic bays on T2 at YSSY that can handle the B787, so I don't expect we'll see it here until it starts internatonal ops. Bay 49 is still B747 capable, so that may become an option in future. Alternatively, Bay 13 at T3 is already set up for B787 ops, so perhaps Qantas may come to the party if needed?

Let's hope not.

What stops a 787 from using another gate?
