Scott, this was a reference to an episode of Border Security in which a US Citizen came to Australia with no money and claimed that he would do favours for people and camp in the bush using his "survivalist" skills to make it by whilst he was here. The guy sounded pretty crazy.

Oh okay. Have only heard about the show but I think it started well after I left Oz. Crazy what some people say to immigration officials.
