Surely it will come to Australia as a demonstrator to Qantas and Jetstar.

Four 787s are now flying, the latest making its first flight on 14 March.
This airframe, ZA003, (which flew after ZA004), will be the only 787 in the test fleet that will have elements of the passenger cabin included. |

Many mistakenly believe that it is hot all year round in the Alice...not so.
October through to April are the hottest months, June to August has very cold nights almost down to freezing and the day temp rises only to about 20-22 degs. July is the best month for tourists to visit. So to test the aircraft in plus 40 degs confines them to early in the year.
