China southern taking 787 to perth
from April 1 china southern will fly the 787 to Perth three times a week
they are also upping services to Melbourne and Brisbane Melbourne will go from 10 times weekly to 14 times weekly in the airbus A330 and Brisbane will go from 5 times weekly to daily in the A330 aircraft as well this now makes Perth Australia's dream liner capital. with Air new Zealand scoot and Thai flying the dream liner to there respective hubs. The increase in services is good news all-round really. Clearly passenger figures to China are on the up and of course the Chinese market is huge for Australia's Tourism exports.
Assuming the overall seat numbers are higher than when the 380's were coming down under? If you haven't flown China Southern consider them for a different way to get to Europe or of course Asia. I flew them to Kathmandu last year and found the quality of their 330's to very high and they were significantly cheaper than MH or SQ or that route. Cheers M

Hi Ollie
I don't think that Perth can be called the "Dreamliner Capital" as Melbourne now has at least 4 airlines - Jetstar, Royal Brunei, Air India and United flying the B787 into that city. We will have Air New Zealand, Scoot, Thai and China Southern from April 1 so it will be a tie at best. Cheers Bob |

And Sydney will have 5 from April.
Jetstar, Air India, Air New Zealand, Scoot from March or April and Lan from April. |
