Very nice scheme! The a/c was ferried to Abu Dhabi yesterday.

Remember the Qantas 747-400 that sported an F1 scheme many years ago?

I certainly do - VH-OJC, the city of Melbourne

And here is a nice photo from Sam Chui to jog the memory:

It was the first 744 I got to actually hand fly, in that scheme, in 2000. Nostalgia!

Anthony just out of curiosity and O/T. Do Qantas always have you on a 744? or do you fly other types as well? And do they tend to keep you on the same routes or do they differ all of the time? Just tell me if I am nosy I have just always been curious.

One fleet a a time (A380, B744, A330, B767 or B737). I was on the -400 from 2000 to 2002 and have been on the B767 ever since.

Which is more "fun" (If that is the best way to describe it?) the 744 or the 763?

Personally as a HUGE FSX fan I have the Level-D 763 and love it to death.

Anyone know Sam's whereabouts. Someone told me at the airport few days back hes moved back to Hong Kong- where he initially was from?

If so would be great loss as he was a great part of the Sydney Airport scene- i'm sure he will still visit but
