Just seen on the news Avalon will become Melbourne and Vic's 2nd international airport.

Waste of time! They can't make domestic work so not sure international will do any better.

Why do think TT will never go back there? Maybe QF will move international operations there to save money!

I know a lot of people who drive/train/bus over an hour to Cooly just to save $50 or $100 on a flight to Asia, so if it helps to create some lower fares on the LCC's, it might just work.

Avalon is a flop and will be no better as an international airport.All it is going to do is drive the airshow away.
