From local radio......

A light aircraft landing around 2030 Local last night blew a tyre near the runway intersection and closed both runways

QF 743 from Sydney was sent " away " but returned about 2 hours later, other airline flights were affected

ZL4397 was affected too. We went back to PLO and then returned two hours later. A couple of other Rex flights circled for a while but managed to get in a bit later than normal.

The light a/c that was disabled on the runway was still on the side of the runway today. I couldn't make out the rego though.
