The remaining confidence people had in them surely must be eroding at a rapid rate. It's not just about the airfare, it's about the hotels, cars, tickets and stuff that people bought too. All the stuff that makes a holiday. If you can't afford to repurchase seats on Qantas, Jetstar or Virgin (and luckily there seem to be plenty out there, at quite affordable levels too), then you are out of luck. Kids in QLD are currently on school holidays too, so there is gonna be some panic out there with people who are literally economically stranded, already at their destination. Not good. What else can you say.

Wow, just wow. Feel for all affected passengers and if they are flying again in the near future, good luck trying to get a refund. Can't see anyone booking with them again in the future. I feel for all the service staff who will no doubt be copping the abuse.

I heard by Oct they were pulling out of Aust.

There was another rumour yesterday saying they were pulling out of ADL-SYD on August 1.

If Tiger pull out of Australia, I doubt too many will be as upset as when Ansett failed.

Disappointing news. And re ADL-SYD, if that happens Tiger has gone from having ADL flights to MEL, AVV, PER, ASP, HBA, OOL, (BNE?) and SYD to just the Melbourne (MEL/AVV) market.
Not good especially as the SA Govt gave them incentives to set up a base in ADL also. My personal experiences with both TT and TR over numerous sectors have been fine. I may have just been lucky, but it is disappointing to see any airline go through this - especially for its customers and staff. If TT do eventually pull out it will be a shame, but SQ have access to the Australian domestic market now with their partnership with VA/DJ.
