Best hotel views for YSSY

Sorry if this has been posted before, but can someone please tell me the best Sydney Airport hotel to book which has views over the airfield?

Hotel name, room type and price if possible.

Definently the Stamford at Mascot. It is a very nice hotel (probably a litte on the pricey side) but it is worth it. You get views over the three runways as well as an overview of the GA area. Be sure to ask for a airport view room and get a position high up. I think the hotel has 10 floors. And it is right opposite the enterance to the domestic terminal.

Co-incidently this is also the accomodation for the Spotting weekend!

I think a standard room with airport view is about $220 ish per night, justdging from last time I stayed. That was in winter though I dont know if they go up in summer.

Can agree with the others about the Stamford.
Stayed there a couple of months ago and had a airport view room. Can't remember the level but was towards the top level.

Stamford rocks. Sit up in the room with a scanner/adsb and you are in heaven.
Holiday Inn too far away.
F1 close to Bizjets, but not much of a view.
Ibis, can't see anything.
Haven't been at the Mecure.

But you won't get that particular view of aircraft landing from your Stamford room until about October due to the Rwy 25 RESA works...
