If they both arrived in the circuit with over 2t, that would be enough to get to Melbourne and make an autoland on fumes.

Too many hypotheticals.

I applaud with crews for getting down safe.

For the record to clarify an earlier post.

Qantas crew have a history in busting minimas to land due low fuel.

This incident can just be added to the list.

I still applaud the crews for getting the aircraft down safe in all incidents.
