JQ 787s will be operating international services ex SYD so what would be the point of famil/proving runs at the domestic terminal. That wouldn't simulate the in-service operation.

The 787 is here for an open day tomorrow for Qantas Group employees.
There will also be QantasLink B717 arriving tomorrow morning in Sydney

Saw it get towed around on thursday at melbourne, lots of ground crew around having a look. Its bulkier in the body than iwas expecting, not sure why i thought it would be smaller than it is but it was nice and shiny ! Ill try and attach a couple of photos, first attempt see how we go !!

Hi

I have a mate that is keen to be on the first Pax service to Cooly.
The schedule shows Wednesday 13th 11 am Departure out of Melbourne
(JQ432) and returning as JQ435 at 1530.

Is this correct?
Will -VKA have a 3hr 25 turn around or head somewhere else before doing
JQ435?

David, that is correct according to the Jetstar website. It isn't going anywhere between the two flights you mentioned. On Friday last week, there were still plenty of seats on the MEL-OOL leg for $149.

Remember Jetstar has a price beat.

I believe that this return flight to OOL is VKA's only scheduled work on the 13th, so JQ may be using the longer time on the ground at OOL for further staff training etc.
Thanks Oliver. I heard that JQ had stopped the price beat on the 787 flights but I'm unsure of this.
Does anyone know why the return flight to MEL was so expensively priced on the 13th ?
