Sydney Fog 2013
Visibility is improving, but visibility is still only 8km in haze, with fog having descended before 6 this morning.
Lots of racetracks being flown by arriving aircraft. It looks like QF8 (ex Brisbane!), VA916 (ex Brisbane!), QF130 (ex Shanghai), PAC4011 (ex Narita), CP161 and VA90 are heading to Brisbane. JQ953 (ex Cairns) has just altered course to Brisbane. AC33 (ex CYRF) and VA51 (ex Auckland) are heading to Melbourne. Last edited by bernard smith; 12th May 2013 at 09:14 AM.

I can't say for sure but I don't think this was forecasted. Would've been a rude shock getting the updated forecast halfway to Sydney. The forecast looks a bit of a mess at the moment

VN773, NZ701, AC033 going Melbourne to, QF 108 landed 16R after declaring Emergency on decent.
EK 418, NF10 went Brisbane as well

Fog looks like it is affecting operations this morning. Some of the early arrivials (like the QF12) have diverted to MEL.

FedEd 77 landed on 16L this morning.

Looks like a bit of a parking lot over Crookwell....Emirates 418, Malaysian 123
QF128 looks like it is going to Canb or Melb... QF118 just did a missed approach on 16L
