A big Thank You from me too to Kurt, SACL and all involved in organising the event. Was great to meet a good number of fellow forum members for the first time as well. Thoroughly enjoyed it!

Cheers,
Terence.

Nice rainbow close up Terence.

The Media Bus had an interesting run along taxiway Alpha to the Runway 34L - Lima intersection.

First it was a head on with Singapore Airlines B777-212ER 9V-SVC vacating from the Alpha 2 Rapid, and then a cheeky Jetstar Dreamliner VHJ-VKH cut
us off at the Alpha-Juliet intersection (ok, we had to give way to traffic on the right).

Not a sight you see every day - caution wake turbulence !

7000 posts? Surely there's a step above 'prolific member' for you to be known as?

Totally of topic, but perhaps we need a new set of memberships?

I was fortunate and very thankful to be invited on board the media chopper for the arrival. It certainly made the trek back to Sydney on a day off worthwhile!
Here's just one of many, many shots I took.

Many thanks to Kurt Ams for his photo editing skills. The city was full of sea-breeze induced haze, not that you'd know it from this picture!

I hadn't noticed the 7,000 posts Nigel, thanks for pointing it out - that is over the 17 years since joining the Board in 1999 (also realised it is 36 years of photographing at Sydney Airport). Happy to go
with Senior Check Captain

Great shot of the Qatar Airways harbour fly past, you got the perfect line up between the Opera House and the Bridge. From memory, the Qatar B777-300ER was at 2,100ft and the choppers
must have been around 3,000ft. Hopefully you captured many other great shots of the city and harbour.

I always loved this view of the city flying the Harbour Scenic 1, and passengers were always very impressed with the view. GA aircraft flying the harbour do it at 1,500ft, simply magic.

Here are a couple of shots I took while orbiting the Archer III just east of the Harbour Bridge - left un-leveled to retain as much image as possible

You can actually see Botany Bay and Sydney Airport in this shot

Cheers Cliff. Grahame, glad you got those photos from the bus. Later on I realised I have flown on VKH before, which makes the experience more special!

Fantastic shot Nigel! And not to forget Micheil too.

Terence.

Here is my 12 second time lapse of the Qatar Airways B777-300ER Water Cannon. I can recognise a few running photographers at the end of the clip.
