Question Any sign of the airship?

Does the airship have ADS-B gear? It would be interesting to see its flight path.

Philip, the airship only has, what I call a Claytons ADS-B, fitted. Transmits everything except the lat & lon info so unfortunately no tracking.

If it is upgraded to the full ADS-B the track would indeed be a very interesting display.

Thank you and Happy New Year Patrick, aviation has been a life long passion, from watching to flying to photography.

Here is the schedule for mandatory ADS-B - I wonder what an airship falls under? Below 10,000 ft and no IFR? And many are UAVs too I gather so maybe different rules in that guise?

The local guys claim their airships are CASA-certified but don't state as what: http://www.airship.com.au/airship_de...ification.html

The IACO Type Code on the Australian Register lists it as "SHIP"
