Just had a look at both websites - loved the video "recreating" "recent" crashes near the airport.

Funny, if asked to define recent, I must say I wouldn't have answered "between 15 and 30 years", which is the span of the incidents in the video....

CEAC are a bunch of dullards, some clown put was quoted saying in an article in the Herald Sun after they had their march to essendon airport on Sunday, 'that he can almost touch the aircraft and its mostly at 2-3am'

Essendon Airport has a curfew from 11pm to 6am so that is a blantant lie.

Marty I know here in QLD, RFDS aircraft (being a medical aircraft) are exempt from any curfews. I'm guessing the same applies in Vic as well with RFDS down there.

Perhaps give that a thought before calling this bloke a blatent lier, .

I live near EN and the RFDS and Air Ambo's do depart and arrive in the wee hours. VicPOL helo's also operate all hours. Doesn't bother me in the slightest. The public rally wasn't a huge success. Maybe 100 people which was mostly kids bringing their parents along!!

Comments here are interesting. Most in favour against CEAC:

You missed what I was saying as the blantant lie he said mainly between 2-3am, there are more operations during the day than 2-3am.

Thanks Tony. Just as I thought.

Also, you say "RFDS and Air Ambo's". Not sure if it's widely known, but 'Air Ambo's' are actually just RFDS aircraft painted in Air Ambulance colours, .

And Marty, it is quite possible for RFDS to do more work at night time, than during the day at times. So old mate might not be lieing, .

Cheers

Mick

Thats only if he's talking about RFDS, otherwise there no way there is more movements there at night than during the day.

Surely people wouldn't really care about RFDS flights, just as people don't complain at an ambo using its siren at night to get to an accident.
