Dan, methinks you need to watch this www.youtube.com/watch?v=4mX9-2xuyP8

Another reasonable movie was "Reach for the Sky", which tells the story of Spitfire pilot Douglas Bader.

Thanks Nigel, I'm aware of that song as well, but much prefer the sound of Pink Floyd

Dad recently put together a mix CD of aviation related songs and both versions made it to the disc. However he didn't listen to my suggestion of Learn to Fly by Foo Fighters

Another great song is Blackbird by Alter Bridge. Not sure it's aviation related though... but the song title is cool enough :P

Ah, Andrew showing your age but not too much age, the original title was 'Baa Baa Black Sheep' when originally aired in 1976. Became 'Black Sheep Squadron' when it went into syndication in the'80s!

And yes my favourite aviation based TV program of all time.

BTW how many remember 'Whirlybirds' from the late '50s**

Cheers

** I only saw it in reruns!!

Yeah, I actually originally typed Baa Baa Black Sheep but then thought the youngens on this board would better remember it as Black Sheep Squadron, so I changed it.

Cheers

Gotta agree Craig. Great sounding helicopter there.
One questions, whats with the rail rotor...is it an illusion from the camera or is it hardly spinning in that video?

Illusion Gerard, if it were hardly spinning the rest of the helicopter would certainly be spinning in a out of control kind of way

Surprised nobody has made mention of Firefox yet, loved Clint Eastwood in that!

(Not as much as Gran Torino however!)

Not a music video as such, but I still love this clip. Anyone that's done the Mach Loop will know what I mean...
