Tiger says Aust ops performing better

Tiger Airways says its Australian operations performed better in the three months to June 30, 2010, compared to the prior corresponding period.

But the airline group's chief executive, Tony Davis, has declined to offer any further insights into how Tiger was faring in the local market, citing the need to keep competitors both here and abroad guessing.

"There's no benefit to me or my shareholders in giving our competitors either in Asia or Australia the detailed breakdown of our two businesses," Mr Davis told reporters during a conference call on Friday.
