I'm to use that lounge a couple of times this week. I'm hoping it'll reopen as I'm kind of relying on it.
Unbelievable that he got a gun airside.

From what I read he shot his way through the security checkpoint so explains how he got airside

Id imagine there would be quite a few aussie's in the area as this is the peak time for Virgin Australia to Virgin America connections

Exclamation Safety in The Loft!

We were in The Loft and at the Burger King in Terminal 3 only a month ago having been through the same TSA screening point in September as well.

Didn't realise that the TSA agents were not armed - they must be the only people in USA that aren't! What do they do when they detect someone with weapons? Ask them politely to please hand them over?

Passed through LAX yesterday and it was very eerie. They had a memorial that day with wreaths, flowers and candles lit just at the entrance at the bottom of the escalators there.
