I have seen 3 A330's in the hanger at BNE at the one time. One on each side pushed right in and another in the middle with it's tail just inside the hanger. The middle one was QPH in for the 5 days "quicky". At the moment QPJ arrived on 1 July and is still here, I guess for 5-6 days. Also EBA arrived on Saturday night and has not moved yet.
It would also appear that there some International flights in Aug, Sept and Oct being done by 271 seat 332's, CGK and SIN. These may be the first??? So when VKJ goes into service in a few days either EBE, F or K will go in for conversion. So that would mean QPI plus one 332. |

Are these A330's only being used for QF domestic or will they be used to help fix the fleet issues with QFi? Thanks

Re CGK and SIN, don't recall there having been any new config 332's on them yet. CGK has seen one new config 333 though.

Looks like QPI has entered the hanger in BNE to undergo maintenance/conversion as QPJ is returning to service today operating QF51 to Singapore.

CIT aircraft actually, but yes both have been operated by Qantas. EBH has already been returned to CIT but EBI is still flying with Qantas.

Does anyone know why QPA is operating domestically today flying the SYD-PER / PER-SYD rotation? Not sure why this is as I would of thought it should be flying only on the International sectors given its got the new refurbished cabin. QF35 today was operated by QPH a non-refurbished 300. I thought Qantas was focusing on Singapore as a priority for the refurbished 300's but yet one of them is operating a domestic sector......something doesn't sound quite right here!

You need to look at the big picture, not just flights in isolation and make those kind of conclusions.
BTW it is coming back as QF6112, which is also unusual, so must be a good reason why it did QF581. |
