Default DL16 returning to YSSY?

Greetings,

I'm listening to Brisbane Centre 128.6 right now and just heard DL16 has been issued with STAR clearance - MARLN EIGHT arrival. It's currently cruising at FL320 and has been assigned with RWY 16R for landing.

It just been cleared to SHARK then MARLN for a MARLIN EIGHT arrival.

The rego is N704DK.

Does anyone know reason of the return?

No local standby declared, so nothing too major.

Ha ha. Well I heard a male voice on my scanner.

Maybe I should have said "It's landed" or "They have landed".
