OGD was advertised with having 73443 hrs and 25893 cycles.

It's well behind OGA-OGC on airframe hours but well ahead of them on cycles.

For those interested OED was 79236 hrs/9572 cycles.

Last flight for OED is QF107 tommorrow SYD-LAX-JFK-LAX
Will it operate back home as the 108 and then cease operations? You make it sound as if the last flight will be the 107/108 to LAX only. If so, what will operate the return 108 ex LAX?

It will operate the 107/108 to JFK and will return to LAX. The 108 passengers will move to another aircraft. The flight to BNE for the night has been cancelled.

Jack I think what Mike is trying to say is Qantas are not painting the aircraft for the hell of it, they are only painting them because they need it. The A330's are a tad newer and are not in need of a repaint, so won't be done unit they are ready.

It isn't like the Qantas change is a massive one, or a complete make over of the airline. In that case you might see wholesale repainting of the fleet.

Agree with Ash - look at Delta and United, how long is it taking to repaint thier fleet? They are not repainting aircraft unless they are due, even if it will take a long time.

VXA was in and out of Perth today, what a shame the wx was crap. As for the repainting of the fleet, its only when the paint is due to expire on the aircraft as per the Qantas system of maintenance.
