Default Sydney International Terminal Airside Access Pier A to B and vv?

Hi,

Before the redevelopment works on the departure level it was possible to walk from pier A to B airside. With the current redevelopment works is this still possible or do you have to use Immigration in the relevant pier and you are then confined to departures at that pier (ie you cannot use the Qantas Club if flying EK)?

Thanks !

Hi Kelvin,

I was there over the Easter weekend and you could still transfer airside between the two piers.

Hope this helps.

My understanding is Qantas will only let you in to QC if you are flying on a One World Airline.

no, must be either QF, BA or Jetstar only, (unless you are a Platinum member)

Thanks. I am platinum with Qantas so I can use the QF business lounge. I just needed to make sure I could get from the lounge to the EK gate. I am giving the EK A380 a go for a change. I also have an APEC card which leaves me with a lot of time to kill once I arrive 90 min before departure.

I believe that if you are a member of any oneworld airline for example Qantas Cathay BA etc. and you are flying a with a oneworld airline then you can get into the lounge.

In additon, platinum members can enter the business class lounge regardless off the carrier they are flying.

To answer my own question there is a bus and you need around 15 minutes each way to make the transfer. A nice drive as well, especially in the morning. I got to see the BA777, BA OneWorld 747, QF OneWorld 747, QF OneWorld 332, JAL 777, and the 100th CX Aircraft as well a SQ A380 all from the bus. Sadly EK A380 flight just landed and is now running about 2 hrs late.

Off to catch the bus in the other direction to spend my $15 voucher from EK now.
