A friend of mine used the price beat on the return flight a few days ago.

I also noticed the return flight from OOL was well up past $400.

The next day's flight to Cairns was $179 when I purchased it. I upgraded to Biz class for $26 extra, and used the POLi payment method to avoid credit card fees.

I'm not flying the return on the 787, because I wanna try this "spotting from up a mountain" thing at Cairns, and watch the 787 actually take off, so I'll be returning later that day.

I always find it interesting to see who is listed as the aircraft owner. Now I know it is all about how their finance is structured, but with most Qantas/Jetstar a/c they are owned by leasing companies clearly owned by Qantas, sometimes Qantas direct and other times real leasing companies or offshore shelf companies. VKA being a case in point as it is listed as owned by a Japanese company calledSL JURA CO. LTD.

They normally switch to leasing companies after they are delivered.

VA does the same.

Hi All,

Whats the story with the plastic Fantastic, as I haven't seen it planefinder for awhile, and according to Qantas source (Jetstar Section) it hasn't logged any movements since 26/10 when it ops Cairns - Melb as JQ1626.

Stuart
