Japan air changes
JAL has announced that from April this year it will be reverting to its "old " crane logo . the Red meatball will be removed and replaced with the logo the airline had since the 1950s and the word JAL will be re styled on the forward fuselage.
link below is in japan but shows the new designed. http://press.jal.co.jp/ja/release/201101/001727.html Last edited by Steve Bottom; 20th January 2011 at 07:51 PM. |

I know it costs them money and probably isn't the best time to do it but good on em! The crane is classic JAL and should never have gone for the relatively boring tails of today.

Like the tail, however it needs the Black and red cheat line to go with it. It would look quite plain on bigger aircraft.

Yeah,
you guys know why they are doing this, at a time when they have no money They are supposedly very superstitious people and believe their financial woes came when the crane went, hence reverting back to it in some last ditch effort.. Another airline did a very similar thing - SIA when they recently changed the scheme, really only Boldened the titles, I believe as well because of their superstitious feelings that something bad might happen if they drastically changed the scheme ... in addition to not having any other special schemes (besides star alliance) after the Tropical coloured 744 crashed in Taipei in the early 2000's.. |

JAL could do with a crane for the tail. The livery needs some wavy lines or splashes of colour along the fuselage and a more formal font for the title.
