Qatar A350 Adelaide Inaugural
This is my final set of processed images from Adelaide. Unfortunately my second wide angle camera was setup incorrectly, so I missed a couple of water
cannon shots (my bad, and that will not happen again). At the Media Conference on Wednesday morning, Akbar would not confirm Brisbane as their next Australian destination, but did confirm the 15th September as the A380 date for Sydney. Qatar are 5 A320Neo and 3 A350s behind on deliveries, because of what he calls quality issues at Airbus (Qatar say they are not up to spec - engines in the case of the Neo). Because of these aircraft shortages, the Adelaide A350 service will be cut back to 6 times per week, for a twelve week period. The A350 operating the Inaugural Doha-Adelaide service was A7-ALH (12), which was only delivered on 7th March 2016. Thank you to Adelaide Airport and Qatar Airways for their great co-operation over the past two days. It was also great to catch up with Qatar's photographer, Brahim Dahine, chat about aircraft photography, and pick up a few pointers. I told Brahim that I had a couple of good shots of the B777 Barcelona livery in Sydney - he said he went to Barcelona to shoot the Barcelona Football Team in front of the aircraft (great job).
