Spotters in remote locations be on the look out for some unusual aircraft in your area...
you must be on the Goodes stuff...

Hi guys,

I heard Asiana call for priority clearance into Melbourne as they were getting lower than normal ops on fuel.

I see that UA managed to handle the delay quite well, both flights only leaving a hour or two late rather than being totally cancelled.

Did the flights in Melbourne have gates or where they all on remote stands?

Dave

They were all over the place EK A345 was parked on Alpha for about an hour an a half United B744 came into Bay 8, Air Mauritius A343 came into bay 4, Singapore A380 went to bay 11, British Airways I wasnt sure where that was hiding only seen it depart, Asiana ended up on the cargo ramp along with two QF B744's a SQ B744 and a Malaysia B772, Korean Air ended up on the cargo ramp Garuda went to bay F12.

Cheer, cheer the Red and the White!!

How come no-one gets excited when Brisbane has fog and there are diversions? Oh, that's right..... Sydney already gets Qantas 747's and A330's!!!

Anyway, why all the fog lately?

I stopped by on my way passing to work, and got to see a few missed approach's...

A couple of DJ (Might have been the same one you were referring too... ); Asiana did and then dissapeared (to MEL) both on 34l, I also noted a QF Q400 (34l) and a couple of NZ over on 34R. Then they switched runway approachs to the 16's and I had to go... Just after AC arrived! Was a quiet morning, but good to see!!!

Some of you guys would know the QF network fairly well I guess.

But ALT, no, not for any QF destination.
