Default JAL aircraft changes to SYD,BNE.

I havent seen this posted as yet but SYD and BNE will most likely get aircraft changes from 30 march.

772 to SYD Daily

763 to BNE Daily.

This has not as yet been announced and is always subj to change. I am sure something official will happen soon.

Lloyd

It's a shame.......but that's progress.
If the internet had been around I'm sure we would have had similar postings about B707's & DC-8's

JAL is also cutting its capacity on the 747 fleet, removing seats if I recall correctly.

Isn't that called a Freighter conversion Monty?

It's fantastic news to hear that JAL are changing their equipment on the Sydney and Brisbane flights. Years of spotting 747's and the odd DC-10 from JAL the 767's and 777's will make a pleasant change.

Anyway, I trust this will only be a seasonal move and before years end we'll see the mighty JAL Jumbo come back?

Will the TYO-BNE rotation continue to be operated by JALways?

Pretty long leg for a 763

Agreed. As much as I like the 777 it is visually a rather nondecript looking Aircraft to the casual observer, (along with the 767 and to a slightly lesser extent, the 330/340) unlike the magnificently distinctive 747.

If there is a surprise here though, it's JAL downsizing. Aren't they the largest 747 fleet operator in the world these days?
